Project Description

1. Project Objective: The objective of this project is to secure the property against pest entry and wind damage by installing high-quality door sweeps and repairing a faulty storm door latch. 2. Scope of Work The Contractor shall perform the following three tasks over the course of two site visits: Task 1: Visit property to identify, source, and purchase all necessary hardware (sweeps and latch) that are compatible with the specific door models. Task 2: Door Sweep Installation (2 Doors)Assess and install new exterior door sweeps on two (2) 36-inch doors. Goal: Eliminate existing gaps to prevent mice and other pests from entering the building. Task 3: Storm Door Latch Repair/Replacement Repair or replace the latch mechanism on the front storm door. Goal: Ensure the door latches securely so that it remains closed and does not catch the wind. 4. Technical NotesStorm Door: A previous attempt to install a standard retail latch (Home Depot) was unsuccessful due to fitment issues. The Contractor must ensure the new hardware is a match for the existing door brand/model. Pest Control: Door sweeps must be installed flush to the threshold to ensure a complete seal against rodents.
