Job Description: This posting covers three small jobs located at two homes in Garfield Heights (just a few blocks apart). The materials for the first home are already paid for and available for pickup. The scope of work is as follows: (1) Pick up materials at Menards — a new storm door and two sets of vinyl window shutters (already paid for). (2) Remove and replace old storm door — Take down the existing storm door, including the handle and hardware. Set aside the old handle and hardware for me to collect later. Install the new storm door using the provided new handle set. (3) Remove and replace window shutters — Take down the existing shutters and install the new vinyl shutters in their place. Hardware for the new shutters will be provided, but the installer must bring their own tools (including a masonry drill/bit and other standard installation tools). (4) Cleanup and disposal — After completing both the storm door and shutter installation, clean up all work areas. The old storm door and shutters can be taken for disposal or placed on the curb for trash/rubbish collection. (5) Second home – porch ceiling repair — At the nearby property, remove approximately two rotted-out ceiling boards from the exterior porch. Cut back to solid wood (about 30 inches per board) and replace with new boards of similar size and appearance. (6) Materials for ceiling repair — The handyman will need to supply the replacement boards and any nails or screws required to complete the repair. It is estimated that about two 30-inch pieces of board (or one 60-inch piece) will be needed. A small stipend for materials will be added to the payment if a receipt is provided. (7) Final cleanup — Clean the work area thoroughly and dispose of any old wood or debris in the rubbish bucket or designated area. Thank you for your interest.
