I want to put in a french door to an outdoor patio. The wall would need to be supported and worked on as a supporting wall. I would expect additional support may need to be added. I will provide all material. The wall on the right, I would want a larger window installed to provide greater outdoor visibility.

Customer :: Yes, but very basic steps as I intend to put a nice deck on later in the summer. Mark
Customer :: I would even be ok with no steps for now as again, I intend to put a deck on yet this summer.

Service Provider 2027-OH :: Which wall has the gable end? left or right? Because the one with the eave is bearing and will require additional jacks and header work to support the opening.And as far as the stairs go, they should be reusable when you build your deck, so i recommend adding them, versus just putting up some blocking and not having them. Safety first. Also, when are you planning to start this project?
